How do I apply for a waterfront device?

Members are invited to discuss their proposed plans or submit a draft application to a Director of Sylvania Waterways Ltd prior to formal application by contacting Alex at STM on 9540 4199 and requesting a meeting with Sylvania Waterways Ltd Director for waterfront devices.

To apply for waterfront devices, pontoons, mooring poles, jet ski pods and other waterfront devices;

  • Refer to document 1016, Regulations and procedures for poles and flotation devices.
  • In consultation with your supplier, complete and submit the following documents;
  1. Process checklist for new waterfront devices (Doc: 1019)
  2. Application for waterfront devices (Doc: 1025)
  3. Application for access permit (Doc: 1026)
  4. Photo ID of member with signature.
  5. Application fee receipt.

Application fee: $2,200 inc GST plus $10,000 Bond (per application) to be payable to;
(Note: Bond will be refunded when a new waterfront license is issued upon completion of installation in accordance with SWL standards and regulations).

How do I apply for Seawall repairs, maintenance or refurbishment (including new tie rods/ground anchors)?

To apply for sea wall repairs, maintenance and or refurbishment of your seawall;

  • Refer to document 1016, Regulations and procedures for poles and flotation devices.
  • In consultation with your contractor, complete and submit the following documents;
  1. Process checklist for new sea wall repairs (Doc: 1020)
  2. Application for sea wall maintenance (Doc: 1025)
  3. Application for access permit (Doc: 1026)
  4. Photo ID of member with signature.
  5. Application fee receipt.
